There is a pack of cigarettes and two hands of people of opposite genders, because the hand on the left has long nails with nail polish. I think a man is recommending a woman to start smoking,  because he is trying to give her a cigarette. As the pack is open I can see lots of cigarettes in there. But the woman is refusing to take up his offer by turning her hand up. I guess she is a non-smoker, or it might be that she recently stopped smoking, so she doesn’t want to lose her determination.

담배 한 갑이 있고, 사진에서 왼쪽에 보이는 손은 손톱이 길고 메니큐어를 바른거로 봐서는 서로 다른 성별의 두 손이네요. 담배를 여성에게 주려고 시도하는 거로 봐서는 남성이 여성에게 흡연을 시작하라고 권유하는거 같아요. 담뱃갑이 열려 있어서 안에 담배가 많이 있는게 보이네요. 여성은 손을 위로 올림으로써 남성의 제안을 거절하고 있어요. 여성은 비흡연자 이거나 최근에 금연을 시작한 사람인거 같아요 그래서 여성은 자신의 결심을 잃고 싶지 않은거 같아요.

• He is holding a pack of cigarettes on his hand. (x) 손에 든다는 의미는 손 안에 쥐고 있다는 의미 이므로 이럴땐 ~안에를 의미하는 in을 사용해 줍니다.
