When you were a child, what was your favourite game?

어렸을 때, 가장 좋아했던 게임은 뭐였어요?

When I was a child, I liked to do “sumo wrestling” with my friends in the playground at school. We had seen sumo wrestling on tv and it was entertaining to us. So we wanted to try too. We used our sweaters and tied them around our waists so they looked like sumo wrestlers’ clothes, and tried to push each other out of a circle on the playground. We must have looked ridiculous, but we didn’t care! We had so much fun. Another game which was so fun was “bulldog”. All the children would have to run across the playground, and one child, the “bulldog”, would try to catch someone. When a child was caught, he also became a bulldog. So eventually, there were more bulldogs than running children. It was so energetic and fun.
제가 어렸을 때 학교 운동장에서 친구들과 함께 “스모”(일본씨름) 하는 걸 좋아했어요. 친구들과 티브이에서 스모경기를 봤고 정말 재미있었어요. 그래서 우리도 직접 시도해 보고 싶었죠. 스웨터를 사용해서 허리 주변에 묶어서 스모선수의 옷처럼 보이도록 했어요. 그리고 운동장에서 원 밖으로 서로를 밀어내려고 노력했어요. 분명히 우스꽝스럽게 보였겠지만 개의치 않았어요. 정말 재밌었거든요! 정말 재미있었던 또 다른 게임은 불도그라는 게임인데 운동장에 아이들이 뛰어다니면 한 아이가 불도그가 되어서 아무나 잡는 게임이에요. 잡히면 그 아이도 불도그가 되는 거죠. 결국에는 뛰는 아이들보다 불도그들이 더 많아지게 돼요. 정말 에너지가 넘치고 재미있는 게임이었어요.
