Do you like sad movies? 슬픈 영화 좋아하세요?

No, I don’t like sad movies. Because when I watch a movie, I only watch it to be entertained. So why do I want to be sad and melancholy while being entertained? The times when I feel like watching a movie are when I feel depressed or exhausted. So I want to watch something that makes me happy. I prefer romantic comedy movies or superhero movies to sad movies. But there are some exceptions. I recently watched a movie called Me Before You, which is a sad movie, because I really liked the book and I wanted to watch the movie in a theater.

전 슬픈 영화 좋아하지 않아요. 왜냐하면 영화는 오락용으로 시청하기 때문이에요. 오락을 즐길 때 왜 굳이 슬프거나 우울감을 느끼고 싶겠어요. 제가 우울하거나 지쳐있을 때 영화를 보고 싶은 마음이 들어요. 그래서 행복감을 느끼게 해주는 영화를 보고 싶어요. 로맨틱코미디나 슈퍼영웅 영화를 슬픈영화보다 선호해요. 그렇지만 예외도 있어요. 최근에 미 비포 유 라는 영화를 봤는데 슬픈영화에요. 원작인 책을 정말 좋아해서 극장에서 영화로 보고 싶었거든요.
