These are tools which people use to clean. From left to right they are a mop, a brush (it is also called a broom) and a dustpan. The brush’s bristles are very colourful; they are pink and fluorescent green. I don’t use any of them when I clean my house, because I just use a vacuum cleaner, which British people often call “a Hoover” (which is actually a brand of vacuum cleaner). I use a rag when I have to clean dust or sticky things from a sofa, desk, or shelf. I haven’t used a dustpan and brush for a long time, but to sweep things outside, they are certainly necessary.

청소 하기 위해 사용하는 도구들이 있어요. 왼쪽에서 부터 오른쪽으로 대걸레, 빗자루, 쓰레받기가 보이네요. 빗자루의 털이 굉장히 화려해요, 핑그색 그리고 형광 연두색이에요. 전 집 청소할 땐 이것 들 중에 어느것도 사용하지 않아요,  청소기만 사용하거든요. 청소기는 영국사람들이 종종 “Hoover”라고 부르기도 해요. (Hoover(후버)는 청소기 브랜드 이름이에요) 소파, 책상 그리고 선반의 먼지나 끈적한 것들을 청소할 때는 걸레를 사용하기도 해요. 전 빗자루와 쓰레받기를 사용하지 않는지 오래되었지만, 밖에서 뭔가를 쓸기위해서는 물론 빗자루와 쓰레받기가 필수에요.
