If you could live in any period in the past, when would you like to live?

과거의 어떤 시기에도 살아 볼 수 있다면, 언제로 살아보고 싶으세요?

I would like to live in Ancient Egypt, during the time of the Pharaohs. Although I don’t know so much about the period. I think it is fascinating how different things were with the world today. They had pyramids, mummies, strange gods and unusual traditions. And they were so interested in life after death, so they buried people with possessions that they could take into the next world after they died. In fact, some tombs even had toilets in them, for the dead people to use! And they worshipped cats as gods, which I don’t agree with, but I think it’s amazing. Of course, I know that life today is so much more comfortable, but I think it would be fascinating to spend time living in that period of history.

고대 이집트에 살아보고 싶어요, 파라오시대 동안에요. 비록 그 시기에 대해서는 많이는 모르지만 오늘날의 세계와 어떻게 다른지는 대단히 흥미롭다고 생각해요. 그시기에는 피라미드와 미라들, 이상한 신들 그리고 특이한 전통들이 있어요. 그들은 죽음후의 삶에 대해서 굉장히 관심있어 했기에 그들이 죽은 후에 다음세상으로 가져갈 수 있는 소지품과 함께 사람을 묻었어요. 사실 어떤 무덤은 심지어는 화장실이 존재하기도 하는데, 죽은사람들이 사용하도록 하기 위함이에요! 그리고 그들은 신으로서 고양이를 숭배하였는데 저는 그것에 동의하진 않지만 정말 놀라워요. 물론 현재의 삶이 훨씬 편안하지만 역사의 그 시기에 살아가면서 시간을 보내는것이 굉장히 매력적일 수 있다고 생각해요.
