What’s the most difficult journey you have ever done? What happened?
For example, your car broke down, your flight was cancelled, your bus had an accident, etc.
가장 어려웠던 여행은 무엇이었나요? 어떤 일이 있었죠?
예를 들어서 차가 고장 났거나 비행기가 취소되었거나 버스사고 등이요
I travelled to China last year. My connecting flight was supposed to be about two hours later. So I was waiting in the airport waiting area. But the connecting flight didn’t arrive, and so I waited and waited. The waiting area was so crowded, and I didn’t have anywhere to sit. Because the flight was so delayed, the airline staff were giving free meals to people. But the food wasn’t very good. Because I had already checked in, I couldn’t go anywhere. After seven hours, I asked a member of staff about the delay, and she just told me “the plane is delayed”, with no other information. In the end the flight was 12 hours late. It was a terrible experience.
작년에 중국으로 여행을 갔었어요. 연결 편 비행이 2시간 이후에 있을 예정이라서 기다리는 대기장소에서 기다리고 있었어요. 그러나 연결 편 비행기가 도착하지 않았고 전 계속 기다리기만 했죠. 대기장소는 붐볐고 앉을 자리도 없었어요. 비행기가 너무 지연 되어서 항공사 직원들은 사람들에게 무료 음식을 나눠줬어요. 그렇지만 음식은 별로였어요. 이미 체크인을 끝냈기 때문에 다른 곳엔 갈 수도 없는 상황이었죠. 7시간 이후에 비행기 지연에 대해서 직원에게 질문했고 그 직원은 다른 정보 없이 “비행기가 지연되었어요”라는 말만 했죠. 결국엔 비행기가 12시간 늦었고 끔찍한 경험이었어요.
